What is WordPress?

WordPress is one of the most common Content Management Systems used in websites throughout the world, powering over a quarter of all websites globally. It is a flexible open source CMS with an active developer community that are constantly developing new themes and plugins, meaning that it is well supported and the broad range of plugins means that you can generally find either a free or paid plugin that will handle most requirements you can think of whether it be a fancy popup box, gallery or integration with some CRM’s.

Another good thing about WordPress is that it is relatively user friendly to manage, especially if all you want to do is update content and images. If you don’t know how to do it yourself, there are many people around that have WordPress experience that you can outsource that work to, the fact that you don’t need a developer for basic changes is beneficial in the long run.
